Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Tutor, you will oversee our Kindergarten through 6th-grade students in our Homework and Afterschool Clubs. The tutor will be responsible for guiding students to improve their academic performance
through extended lessons, creative teaching, and interactive materials.
Every day you will empower students by facilitating extended lessons, reviewing class materials, and guiding them through problem-solving and writing tasks. Using creative, interactive materials, you will provide compassionate, motivating support to ensure every student improves their academic performance and gains confidence in their studies.
To be successful in this role, you must be a patient and organized mentor with a passion for student development. You should demonstrate excellence in both instruction and administrative leadership, with the ability to design engaging academic plans and manage a productive, supportive learning environment for diverse young learners.
Essential Function
- Working with students
- Ability to communicate effectively with various age ranges and cultural backgrounds.
- Proficiency in explaining concepts for Mathematics and English to grade school level students.
- Ability to adapt to a variety of student learning methods.
- Ability to work one-on-one and in a group setting with Students.
Required:
- 1-2 years of college courses
- Strong academic performance in Math, English, and Computer Science.
- Bilingual
Preferred:
- Prior tutoring experience with children
