The posted compensation range of $26.60 - $33.33 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Materials Tech, under the direction of Materials Management leadership, you will ensure efficient flow and sanitation of medical supplies and equipment.
Every day you will disinfect equipment/carts, then receive, store, issue, and deliver supplies, preparing items for shipping as needed. You'll perform daily par-level counts, data entry for issued stock, maintain tidy work areas, and participate in inventory/cycle counting.
To be successful, you will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and proficiency in inventory management systems. A commitment to maintaining a sterile, efficient environment and procedural adherence is essential.
- Monitors and directs daily product ordering and receiving of supplies.
- Ensures preparation of incoming instrumentation/equipment and other activities related to materials acquisition. Communicates acquisitions to appropriate department resource
- Ensures that cases are prepared according to preference card specifications
- Responsible for routinely monitoring and performing preference card updates
- Coordinates the surgery product evaluation process for contract compliance and cost effectiveness
- Ensures that the necessary supplies and equipment are available to provide quality service at a reasonable cost
Job Requirements
Required
- Two years experience in a clinical Surgery and or Central Service environment and
- one year of materials management software system experience
Preferred
- Cert Sterile Processing Dist Tech, upon hire or
- Certified Sterile Processing and Dist Supervisor, upon hire or
- Certified Sterile Processing and Dist Tech, upon hire or
- Certified Surgical Technologist, upon hire or
- Technologist in Surgery-Certified, upon hire
