Responsibilities

The Senior Director of Neuro and Orthopedic Servicesis responsible to the Bakersfield Hospital Presidents for overall administration and success of the overall Neuro and Orthopedic Service line across the inpatient, outpatient and ambulatory locations through the development, implementation and ongoing execution of strategic plans. This person is expected to meet goals in all areas of the service line, including but not limited to the quality and operational performance, financial management, Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies and designated accrediting bodies, leadership development, customer satisfaction, strategic planning, and market share growth of the services in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Dignity Health business units that operate in Bakersfield. Assures that the philosophy and mission of Dignity Health is visualizing the operation and direction of assigned operating units and departments along with confirming a smooth, efficient operation is consistent and aligned with the overall corporate Common Spirit Health (CSH} business strategies. Leads, collaborates and aligns with stakeholder business and operational units that support services to grow volume, improve service delivery, increase revenue, and control cost through effective management and oversight, implementing necessary process improvement and redesign. Serves as the primary liaison between Bakersfield senior leadership and physicians to align services and provide quality Patient Care.


Qualifications

Experience:

Minimum five (5) years in responsible hospital or medical group leadership operations at the administration level.

Education:

Master’s Degree or other comparable Post Graduate Degree.

Reguired Skills:

Well-developed planning, marketing, organizational development, and business skills. An ability to work with physicians, staff, and professionals in multiple settings and locations. Promotion of diversity in the organization. Negotiation and financial analysis skills.

Licensure:

RN Licesne Preferred
