The posted compensation range of $43.37 - $68.25 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our RN, you will coordinate the care and services of patients across the continuum of illness; promote effective utilization; monitor health care resources; and assume a leadership role with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes through the tools of case management.
Every day you will perform a wide variety of high-level patient care activities to include admission assessment, screen for appropriateness, and development of a discharge plan. Timely and appropriate discharges will be accomplished by evaluating the patient's post-discharge needs and the provision of services necessary to meet those needs.
To be successful in this role you must be knowledgeable in community resources and alternate care facilities.
- PATIENT ASSESSMENT/REASSESSMENT
- Perform patient assessment/reassessment, including giving or receiving comprehensive change of shift and intermittent report, obtaining the nursing history, conducting a physical assessment, establishing priorities for care.
- Assess patient's learning needs, readiness for discharge and ability of the patient/family/SO to manage illness after discharge.
- Completes both computer and hand written documentation using correct format in an accurate, precise, timely, legible and complete manner .
- Provide direct patient care, as required. Assist physician with procedures, as necessary. Is competent in IV Therapy.
- Report changes in patient's condition to physician.
Job Requirements
Required
- High School Graduate Education level necessary to obtain required licensure and certifications.
- 1-2 years of previous experience.
- Registered Nurse: CA required
- Basic Life Support - AHA required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support AHA required
Preferred
- Bachelors Of Nursing preferred
