The posted compensation range of $24.00 - $28.87 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Respiratory Therapist, you will provide essential direct patient care, assessing, treating, and managing patients with respiratory disorders. Your role is vital for improving patient outcomes.
Every day you will assess respiratory status, implement treatment plans (oxygen, ventilation, airway management), and educate patients/families. You'll document interventions and collaborate with physicians and medical staff.
To be successful, you will demonstrate strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and equipment proficiency. Excellent communication for patient interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration, plus a commitment to safety and continuous development, are essential.
- EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE
- Performs required maintenance on Respiratory Care equipment consisting of; disassemble, clean, sterilize, check, reassemble and correct malfunctions of equipment according to department policy and manufacture's recommendations
- Enter maintenance requests for Clinical Equipment repair on broken or damaged equipment.
- Perform ventilator calibrations and maintain calibration records
- Maintain records as required by the respiratory department and clinical equipment.
- Assist Clinical Equipment with quality control checks on respiratory equipment and maintain required records.
Job Requirements
Required
- Experienced in the use of computers and
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
Preferred
- High School Graduate General Studies and Experience in the ordering and stocking of supplies, upon hire
