Respiratory Care Practitioner II
The posted compensation range of $44.60 - $54.92 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Respiratory Care Coordinator, Respiratory Care Supervisor, Director or Physician, the Respiratory Care Practitioner 2 must possess the essential and basic knowledge, ability, and skills needed to deliver the different modes of respiratory therapy to all age groups and patient acuity. Must be able to work with minimum supervision to provide general respiratory care throughout the various patient care areas. Areas include emergency response, general floors, and some Adult and Neonatal Intensive Care.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Must demonstrate good interpersonal and customer service skills along with basic time management skills. Advancement between levels will follow the Respiratory Clinical Ladder guidelines.
- Must possess a valid California RCP License issued by the California Respiratory Care Board.
- Must have current BLS, ACLS, NRP and PALS.
- All New Hires/transfers after 07/01/2016 must maintain a current Registered Respiratory Therapist credential through the NBRC.
- Current employees hired prior to 07/01/2016 will be grandfathered in and do not have to be Registered.
- Must have the ability to read, write and speak English.
Preferred:
- Advanced practitioner level experience and ability to perform independently in the NICU and Adult ICU's preferred. Some experience in the use of computers preferred.
- AS Degree preferred.
- Specialty certifications through the NBRC (NPS, CPFT) preferred.
Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
