Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Respiratory Care Practitioner, you will competently provide essential respiratory care for neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Your expertise is vital for critical respiratory interventions and patient well-being.

Every day you will perform arterial punctures, continuous ventilation, airway maintenance, emergency care, infection control, isolation procedures, mechanical ventilator operation, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and medical gas administration.

To be successful, you will possess advanced clinical skills in all aspects of respiratory care across age groups, meticulous attention to detail, a strong commitment to patient safety and infection control, and the ability to perform effectively in emergencies.
  • Perform aerosol and humidity therapy. Administer aerosolized medication. Administer chest physiotherapy procedures. Administer medical gas and operate analyzers to determine saturation of oxygen and other gases in the blood.
  • Performs basic and some advanced duties of Respiratory Care as outlined in the American Association of Respiratory Care's Clinical Practice Guidelines: http://www.rcjournal.com/cpgs/index.cfm
  • Respond to emergency call throughout the hospital and perform emergency respiratory care procedures in accordance with departmental guidelines.
  • Provide basic and some advanced life support measures to all patient populations concentrating on area of expertise: Airway and Ventilation.
  • Performs electrocardiograph testing and related procedures.
  • Performs EKG testing to all patient populations and have basic knowledge to determine discrepancies in machine interpretations.

Preferred
  • Associates Of Science Respiratory Therapy and Advanced practitioner level experience and ability to perform independently in the NICU and Adult ICU', upon hire and
  • Some experience in the use of computers
  • Neonatal-Pediatric Specialty Respiratory Therapist, upon hire
