Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The CT Technologist is a Registered Radiologic Technologist who under the direction of the Radiologist or supervising technologist performs CT procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Must strictly adhere to the State of California Radiation Safety Regulations as it applies to worker and patient safety.


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • CA Radiology Tech. (R) (F)
  • ARRT R.T.(R)(CT)(ARRT)
  • BLS (AHA required)
  • Venipuncture preferred
  •  1 year acute hospital imaging procedures required
  • Licensed CT(Computed Tomography) required as follows; Hires after 05/15/2011 but before 7/15/2014 require license within 1 yr of hire. Hires 7/15/2014 and after require CT License upon hire 

*Travelers not required to have Fluoroscopy or Venipuncture.

Skills:

Excellent verbal and written skills to facilitate communication with medical and technical personnel. Demonstrated competency required within 30-days of hire 

Must have the ability to read write and speak English.

Preferred:

1 - 2 years CT experience preferred. 

Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
