Job Summary and Responsibilities

Provides a quality level of comprehensive clinical pharmaceutical services demonstrating sound judgment based upon knowledge and application of professional, departmental, and organizational principles and standards. Demonstrates an ability to coordinate subordinate activities by providing direction and guidance concerning the operational activities of the department.


Job Requirements

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree

Required Licensure and Certifications:

  • BLS-CPR
  • Active State Pharmacist License in good standing in the state in which the employee works: PHARM:XX

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training:

Must possess strong knowledge of Pharmacy Services; knowledgeable and skilled in current practice concepts of pharmacy practice settings; strong knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and professional standards; strong project management
skills; good strategic planning skills; strong change management skills; must demonstrate personal traits of a high level of
motivation; team orientation; professionalism; trust; and place a high value on treating others with dignity and respect.

Preferred Licensure and Certifications:

  • ACLS

Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.

Serving nearly 90,000 patients annually, the hospital offers a full complement of services including Level II NICU, cancer care, women’s health, and orthopedics. Additionally, Mercy Hospital Downtown & Mercy Hospital Southwest have been recognized as an LGBTQ+ Healthcare Equality High Performer by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. They are both Joint Commission-certified Primary Stroke Centers.
