Responsibilities

Position Summary:

With minimal supervision this position provides assistance to the CE Manager in administering the daily operations of the shop.  This position provides repair, incoming inspection, calibration and maintenance services to equipment in a healthcare environment. 


Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Associates degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering or related field, equivalent military education, graduate of technical program, or equivalent training validated through training certificates, or equivalent experience. 

Required Experience and Skills:

  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience servicing technical equipment.
  • Language Ability:  Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Math Ability: Basic: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

  • Reasoning Ability:  Basic:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in the standardized situations.

  • Computer Skills:  must be familiar with MS Office Suite and internet based applications.

Required Licensure and Certifications:

  • Drivers License Required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • One of the following certifications:
    • Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET)
    • Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist (CRES)
    • Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist (CLES)
    • Certified Healthcare Technology Manager (CHTM)
