Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The incumbent is an advanced Respiratory Therapist who can perform all therapies provided by the Respiratory Care Department throughout the hospital with minimal assistance. The incumbent may assist with ensuring necessary staffing and appropriate levels of equipment as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1 year work experience or 3 years of clinical experience as required for Bachelors degree in Respiratory Care in an acute care facility
- Bachelors degree in Respiratory Care OR Associates degree in Respiratory Care with current Adult Critical Care Specialty certification
- Must be able to clearly communicate in English and possess critical thinking skills
- Current ACLS BLS and PALS certifications required (must be certified through the American Heart Association)
- Current California RCP license in good standing required
- RRT and NRP certification required
- NPS credentialing must be completed within one year of hire date
- EEG training must be completed within one year of hire date
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4 years work experience in acute care facility to include adult pediatric and neonatal critical care
- Bachelor's degree with current Adult Critical Care Specialty and Neonatal/ Pediatric Specialty certification
