The posted compensation range of $26.70 - $39.71 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Job Summary and Responsibilities
The MRI Technologist performs departmental MRI examinations, assisting radiologists and producing high-quality images for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
Key responsibilities include:
- Patient Identification & Safety:Using two patient identifiers, verifying doctor's orders, assessing for potential image artifacts, and ensuring patient comfort and safety throughout procedures.
- Workflow Management:Prioritizing workload, coordinating multiple exams efficiently to avoid conflicts, and determining optimal imaging protocols based on doctor's orders and patient diagnosis.
- Monitoring & Communication:Observing and reporting any changes in a patient's condition to the physician during procedures, and communicating accurate patient information promptly to peers, physicians, and other departments.
- Equipment Operation:Safely operating all diagnostic, computer, and communication equipment.
Additional duties may be assigned by management.
Job Requirements
High School graduate or equivalent
Graduate of an accredited Radiology program
Registered in Radiology
Registered in MRI or registry eligible (must complete registry within one year of hire date)
AHA BLS
