The posted compensation range of $16.26 - $22.36 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Responsibilities
We are offering up to a $1,500 Sign-On Bonus to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.
- Check-in with the outgoing CNA at the beginning of your shift to get a report on your patients.
- Conduct hourly rounds on patients, checking vitals, maintaining whiteboard information, and assisting with care as needed.
- Assist patients with ambulation as necessary. This may mean helping them reach a recliner in their room, walk to the bathroom, or down the hall. Assist released patients in getting safely to their vehicles outside.
- Assist patients with hygiene needs. This can include a full bed bath, an assisted bed bath, or retrieving towels and soap for ambulatory patients.
- Help the bedside nurse with tube insertions such as an NG tube, rectal tube, or catheter. You may be holding a cup of water, holding the patient, or providing the nurse with supplies as needed and cleaning up after.
- Help the bedside nurse with any wound checks or dressing changes. This may mean holding the patient or supplies and cleaning up after.
- Change bed linens, check patients’ weight, and other tasks as assigned each day.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Successful Completion of the 75-hour state-approved Nursing Assistant course
- Active Nurse Aide (CNA) license in good standing in Nebraska
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association
