The posted compensation range of $28.48 - $38.36 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Are you handy, eager to learn, and passionate about keeping things running smoothly? We're looking for a motivated Maintenance Mechanic I to join our dedicated Engineering team! This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity to kickstart your career in facility maintenance.
As a Maintenance Mechanic I, you'll work under the guidance of experienced Engineering leadership, learning the ropes and contributing to the essential upkeep of our facilities. Your day-to-day will involve:
- Assisting with routine checks, light repairs, and preventative maintenance on various systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).
- Helping with general repairs, painting, and ensuring our spaces look their best.
- Getting hands-on experience and developing critical technical skills in a supportive environment.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and learning about regulatory standards like The Joint Commission.
This position is represented by CHEU and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
Job Requirements
- High School Graduate / General Studies required.
- Two (2) years of prior experience in general maintenance, related to the specific skills used on the job required.
- One (1) year of prior experience in healthcare maintenance, related to the specific skills used on the job, preferred.
